Lani Face Mask Review

I haven't done a product review in a while - and I can't quiet figure out why I haven't yet done one on this incredible face mask!

As some of you may know, I'm really into skin care at the moment, having worked in the beauty industry, I have collected a little knowledge of how to look after your skin. And this year, I've set it high on my priority list!

So you're all wondering what mask it is I'm guna start waffling on about!

'Transform your complexion in just 20 minutes with our phenomenally
purifying chocolate mousse mask.
Anti-oxidant rich raw cacao, creamy coconut milk and hydrating
coconut water work to nourish and revitalise tired skin.
Cleansing Australian clays deep clean pores, absorb excess
oil and draw out toxins, while powerful anti-inflammatory properties
of aloe vera, healing turmeric and vitamin C tone and brighten the skin.
The unique powder transforms into a fluffy mousse upon contact with
water – releasing its magic and heavenly cacao smell the moment you use it.'

Magic indeed! I have been using this face mask for about 3 months now, and I have had so many complements on my skin. Its £14.99 and you can get an estimated 20-40 uses out of each tub. I use it once every week, varying on whether I've had any breakouts, or if there's any outstanding blemishes, I will maybe use it a second time during the same week, but I never exceed two times a week. And honestly, you pop it on and the difference when you take it off is instant and even now, like, it still shocks me how flawless my skin actually looks!
I'd say I have normal to oily skin during the summer, but in the winter, my cheeks tend to get kinda dry, where as my T-Zone is still a little oily. I've used this mask coming out of the winter period, and it's been really gentle on my skin, yet giving great results! It's super hydrating so works as a good all round mask! However, this product is not recommended for very dry/sensitive skin.

So how do you use it?
It's slightly different to any other mask I have used before, in the way that it comes in a powder form.

1. You pop 1tbsp into a dish
(I use a little china dish, as a bowl would be a little too extreme, but any sort of smallish dish/container would be fine, probably something like an egg cup would be okay too!)

2. With a few drops of water, until it turns into a mousse like consistency. (usually best to do little by little)

3. Apply a thin layer of the mask over clean face & leave for 10-20 minutes or until completely dry.
(I often include my neck - because why not?!)

4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

5. Pat dry

TA-DA! Your skin is squeaky clean and glowing beautifully!

The only downside I have to mention about this product, it's more of a personal issue to be fair, but my little brother always says I look like I've smeared poop all over my face - until the other day, I actually told him it was a chocolate face mask and his face dropped. He sat quietly for a moment then said 'Can I try it?' And I had to explain that it wasn't edible (Shout out guys - Do not eat it!) and he was really disappointed.
But other than that, I don't have a bad word to say against it. I have been a loyal Lani user for a few years now, and I can honestly say, I'm so pleased that they are expanding and growing, as their hair mask is amazing! Literally, I'm going to be a glowing goddess with amazing hair by the time summer arrives! Eeppp! Here's to the most wonderful products ever!

P.S. All their products are vegan! Which is another huge reason I love this company so much, its 100% natural and their products smell amazing!
P.P.S They also have another mask 'Tropical Fruit Radiance Mask' which I am dying to try out! (Waiting for pay day!) Let me know if you have a preference, or if you've ever used any of Lani's products before!

Tropics for the win!!!

Love you Lani!!!
